Braddock On-Campus Mandarin Support & Enrichment
On-campus Mandarin classes designed specifically for Braddock families and loved by kids!
Our program reinforces the same vocabulary and language themes students learn during the school day, giving them more speaking practice, repetition, and confidence in a familiar setting. Led by Braddock’s former 1st grade Mandarin Immersion (MI) Teacher's Assistant (TA), this is a seamless, school-connected way to support your child’s Mandarin learning after school.
Because classes take place on campus, families also benefit from a smooth, convenient transition to and from afterschool care as well as other enrichment classes. Students stay in a familiar environment while continuing to build their Mandarin skills with an instructor who knows the Braddock MI community well.

TK/K

Mon, Weds, Thurs: 3pm-4pm
For TK students, this class provides an early start in Mandarin through playful exposure, familiar school vocabulary, songs, stories, movement, and hands-on activities. TK students learn many of the same words and themes introduced in Kindergarten, but in a developmentally appropriate format without homework or testing.
For Kindergarten students, the class serves as both reinforcement and support. Students review vocabulary from the school day, strengthen speaking and listening, and have time to complete Mandarin homework with guidance when needed. The goal is to build confidence, increase repetition, and make Mandarin feel joyful, familiar, and approachable.
1st

For many Braddock families, 1st grade is a demanding year as quizzes, dictation, and character expectations increase. Students often need more repetition and support than the regular school day alone can provide.
Our 1st grade class is designed to reinforce the Braddock MI curriculum with added focus on familiar vocabulary, listening, speaking, pre-reading, and character recognition.
Led by Braddock’s former 1st grade MI TA, this class is especially valuable for families who need the help in preparing for weekly quizzes.
2nd

Weds: 4-5pm
This class helps 2nd grade students strengthen and extend what they are learning in Braddock’s Mandarin Immersion program. With added practice in listening, speaking, pre-reading, and character recognition, students gain more confidence using familiar vocabulary and classroom language outside regular school hours.
The class combines reinforcement with engaging activities so students receive meaningful extra exposure without it feeling like more pressure at the end of the day.
Pokemon & Squishmallows
BrickMasters
Get ready for the ultimate creative adventure! In this hands-on building class, students will use LEGO-compatible bricks to bring their favorite Pokémon and Squishmallow characters to life. Every 2–3 weeks, builders receive a brand-new themed kit—and the best part?
They get to keep every creation they make!
This class blends STEM learning, imaginative play, and fandom excitement into one awesome after-school experience. Kids build fine-motor skills, engineering confidence, and storytelling creativity while collecting adorable figures they’ll treasure.

Welcome to the ultimate after-school adventure! In this electrifying STEAM Quest, students immerse in the world of K-Pop Demon Hunters—heroes who create vehicles to battle demons, concoct their own soda pop, build a powerful honmoon machine and much, much more - all while learning physics, engineering and elevating their crafting skills.
Every class brings a new mission, a new challenge, and a new creation kids get to take home! This will be so much fun for both genders alike.
