About Us
Designed With Intention. Delivered With Excellence.
Little Panda Scholars is a founder-led enrichment studio bringing thoughtfully curated, high-quality programs directly onto school campuses across Los Angeles. We partner with schools to deliver Mandarin, STEM, engineering, cultural arts, and creative technology programs that are academically grounded, developmentally appropriate, and deeply engaging.
Our model is simple — and powerful:
-
Remove logistical friction for families.
-
Raise the standard of on-campus enrichment.
-
Create meaningful learning experiences children remember.
A More Elevated Approach to Afterschool
In West Los Angeles, families value substance. They seek enrichment that builds real skills. Little Panda Scholars designs programs with intention:
-
Mandarin enrichment that strengthens conversational fluency
-
Engineering labs that teach structural thinking
-
Creative tech classes (LEGO, robotics, 3D design) that build problem-solving skills
-
Cultural arts programming that deepens global awareness
Every program is filtered through a strategic lens:
-
What skills does this build?
-
What confidence does this unlock?
-
How does this complement the school day?
-
We are not a marketplace of random classes.
-
We are a curated enrichment partner.
Original Curriculum. Built In-House.
In addition to partnering with expert instructors, Little Panda Scholars develops proprietary, one-of-a-kind curriculum designed specifically for today’s students. We don’t simply replicate what already exists — we design experiences. A signature example is our K-Pop Demon Hunters STEAM Academy — a fully developed program that blends:
-
Pop culture storytelling
-
Engineering design challenges
-
Creative builds
-
Mandarin language integration
This kind of cross-disciplinary innovation reflects our belief that modern education should be immersive, culturally relevant, and hands-on.
By developing original programming, we are able to:
-
Customize curriculum to each school community
-
Align with campus goals
-
Respond quickly to student interests
-
Maintain high creative standards
We treat curriculum as intellectual property — carefully designed, refined, and elevated over time. Due to the hands-on nature of our programs and our commitment to small group instruction, enrollment is intentionally limited, and many sessions fill quickly.
Trusted by Schools. Structured for Excellence.
Little Panda Scholars is an approved LAUSD vendor and proudly serves both public and private schools throughout Los Angeles County.
We collaborate closely with administrators, PTA leaders, and educators to ensure:
-
Seamless campus integration
-
Clear communication and professionalism
-
Strong classroom management
-
Compliance with district policies
-
Age-appropriate instructional design
Our instructors are carefully selected subject-matter experts — from Mandarin educators and robotics coaches to performing arts and culinary specialists — many with formal training in early childhood development.
We operate with the professionalism of a district partner and the care of a parent-founded organization.
Our Philosophy
We believe enrichment should:
✔ Build meaningful skills
✔ Strengthen identity
✔ Support working families
✔ Complement the academic day
✔ Be joyful — and intentionally designed
Little Panda Scholars exists to raise the bar for what on-campus enrichment can be.

Meet Sharon Tom
Founder & Fellow Parent
Little Panda Scholars was founded by Sharon Tom — a product and digital strategy advisor with a background in innovation and scalable systems design. As a Mandarin Immersion parent, she saw an opportunity to bring strategic rigor and thoughtful curriculum design into the afterschool space.
Sharon personally develops Little Panda Scholars’ proprietary programs, including K-Pop Demon Hunters STEAM Academy and Pokémon BrickMasters. She has designed and facilitated executive-level workshops for Fortune 500 companies and teaches Digital Product Management at the University of Southern California (USC). Across audiences — from senior executives to young learners — her approach remains the same: structured, intentional, and deeply engaging.
Cantonese was her first language, and she later studied Mandarin. As both a heritage speaker and immersion parent, she understands the nuances of language acquisition and the importance of consistent, meaningful exposure.
Little Panda Scholars reflects her intersection of innovation, cultural authenticity, and community-centered design. Her vision is to build sustainable enrichment ecosystems that elevate schools.
