MANDARIN MORNINGS &
STEM ADVENTURES

The only camp in Los Angeles where kids practice Mandarin, build hands-on STEAM projects, and stay active — all in one place.

Our summer program blends language learning, creative engineering, and movement to create an experience that is both educational and exciting. Designed for ages 5–10, our small-group environment helps children build confidence, creativity, and friendships.

Our camp runs during the late summer weeks when many LAUSD programs have already ended, making it a great option for families looking for a camp right before school starts.

Mandarin Mornings

Students practice conversational Mandarin through engaging activities and creative projects.

Activities include:

  • storytelling and role play

  • games and collaborative challenges

Bonus Back-to-School Booster

  • Because this camp takes place during the two weeks leading up to the start of school, we include daily reading and writing practice tied to grade level review.

  • Examples:

    • Students entering 1st grade review Kindergarten vocabulary

    • Students entering 2nd grade review 1st grade vocabulary

  • This helps children start the school year feeling confident in their Mandarin skills.

  • Students in this track should currently be enrolled in a Mandarin language or immersion program.

Choose Afternoon

STEM Adventures Track:
Pokémon or K-Pop Demon Hunters

In the afternoon, campers come together for hands-on STEAM projects inspired by themes kids love. Campers will choose between Pokemon OR K-Pop Demon Hunters at registration. Projects include:

  • 🧪 Explore science concepts like motion, balance, air, and force

  • 🎨 Design and create characters, tools and habitats

  • 🧠 Solve team challenges and strategy games

Each project encourages campers to build, test, and create while developing creativity, teamwork, and confidence.

Campers also enjoy daily dance lessons from a professional dancer and movement sessions, along with team games and obstacle course challenges. Afternoons are designed to feel exciting, social, and creative, giving kids a chance to collaborate, build, and stay active.
